Spring Chicken

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory
The movie for this month is...

Chicken Run

Easter is coming soon! - But this time without the Easter bunny!
Chickens, chicks, ducks, eggs, flowers, colorful or whatever else you can think of,
But no Bunnies!

For this ATC, I used two of my very oldest stamps - a French hen (wood stamp / Penny Black) and a wire fence (BoBunny).
I stamped the French chicken, colored it with alcohol markers and fussy cut it. Stamped the wire fence on a piece of scrap paper that I had backed with black cardstock. Adhered the chicken and stamped a sentiment (Stampin'Up). Added the Happy Birthday label. That's it!

Have Fun!

Not all those who wander ...

Hi everyone!
It's Katzelkraft day again :))
I don't think I'll ever get tired of playing with these fab stamps...

These funny fellows are from one of the two recently released A6 stamp sets from Katzelkraft.

A card made pretty quickly. - That's the good thing about silhouette stamps, you don't have to color them. :))
I bordered the bottom of the card with a piece of torn paper and sponged the open area with Mowed Lawn (Distress Oxide). Stamped the animals and then the grass and flowers. Highlighted the blossoms with liquid pearl dots. Colored the wings of the dragonfly with metallic watercolors.
Finally, I added a cloud-shaped die-cut at the top and stamped the quote with single letter stamps.

Relax

Hi everyone!

Today starts a new challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club
This month we are celebrating

National Panda Day

DotMCC is also celebrating its 5th blog birthday this month.
As every year, there is something to win! But I'll tell you more about that below ;)

Did you know that baby pandas are born blind, pink, hairless and toothless!?

Apart from the lanterns, everything on this ATC is hand-drawn or painted.
This is the very first time I have painted bamboo! ...and freehand at that! I admit, I'm almost a bit proud of myself... 😊
I also drew the panda myself, but I had a model for it. It was actually quite easy to draw. He's lying on two strips of washi tape, taking a nap under the shady bamboos. The red handwritten Chinese characters mean: Relax.

And now for the blog birthday.

As already mentioned, there's a little something to win.
Each of the DT girls is providing a prize.
These will be raffled off among all participants at the end of the challenge and sent out worldwide.

This is what I want to give away.

All prizes are displayed on the challenge blog.

GOOD LUCK!!!

For my forever Friend

Hi everyone!
I'm back with a new Katzelkraft project.

Used the wonderful sets Foliage and Ginko and Co for today's card and combined them with the Spiral Borders and a stenciled background. Did a little paper piecing on the pink flowers and embellished the lower flower with liquid pearl dots. The sentiment is from Yixuan.

Into the Wild

Hi everyone!
We are entering the second half of our current challenge at the Dream Factory
MAVKA. The Forest Song - An Ukrainian movie - chosen to honor a brave country fighting for its freedom...
You can show everything that lives or grows in the forest on your creations.

The basic idea for my tag was to merge two animals into one. I think it worked. - What do you think?

The background is a piece of scrap paper - you know, the paper you roll the brayer on to remove the color when you make gel prints or blends. - I glued it onto cardstock to reinforce it.
On the right I stamped two fir trees. On the left I glued on some torn washi tape.
I stamped the moon on a gel print remnant, cut it out and added it.
I created the fantasy animal with the help of masks. Colored it with alcohol ink markers and then cut it out. - I used washi tape on the left antler before stamping. So I didn't color this one.
I glued the animal to the tag together with a fir branch and a die-cut leaf.
Fianally, I added the sentiment and tied a ribbon to the tag.

I got stuck

Hi everyone!
I'm back with a new Katzelkraft project.

After the crocodiles, it's now the snakes' turn...

I die-cut a branch from a leftover gel print. Stamped the snake, colored it with alcohol ink markers and fussy cut it. Entangled the snake with the branch and glued the whole thing onto a stencilled background, I found in my stash. Stamped the sentiment with single alphabet letters and heat embossed half of it.

White Roses

Hi everyone!
February is the month when I start needing birthday cards.

This one was for my youngest son's partner.
She loves dark purple and dark green and white roses are one of her favorite flowers.

I started by die-cutting the rose branch twice. Once from Bristol paper and once from strong watercolor paper. I glued vellum paper onto the flowers of the Bristol paper die cut. Colored it with a white pastel crayon and glued on the second die cut. I cut off the overlapping parts of the vellum paper and added a touch of Wink of Stella to the roses. Colored the leaves with alcohol ink markers.
To create the background, I made large purple strokes with an ink pad. Added metallic watercolor splatters and washi tape strips. I cut the panel to size and adhered it to a blank card. Added the rose branch (foam pads), a die cut sentiment and three half pearls.

If you look very carefully, you can see the Wink of Stella sparkle.
